Hey, guys. I’m Charlo Greene. This channel is for the people who are fighting. Fighting for better relationships, fighting for better business, fighting for a better life. I know what it feels like to feel stuck and underutilized. The numbing sensation of feeling like you could be doing more, and the frustration of being uncertain how to take that step forward. I’m going to teach you how to access your best self, and how to direct your energies and focus to follow your passion and dreams and turn them into something concrete.
I know what to feels like to be trapped by circumstance, or at the very least, to believe that you’re trapped by circumstance. I know how it feels to be stranded at the shore staring out into the horizon of this great, big world and feeling positive that you’ll never see it. But that’s not true, and this channel, at its core, is all about living free. Casting off the shackles of self-doubt and derision, and sailing out into that horizon.
I’ve experienced pain on every level imaginable and I know what it means to hold a grudge, to want to see justice delivered, and I know how that eats away at your soul. I’m going to teach you how to let that go. Not to quit or acquiesce, but to put pain in its place, and use it to fuel your progress, not your stagnation. My life story is one gian lesson plan on how to be your best self, because I had to learn the hard way. But every sucker punch, low blow that life dealt me, has taught me how to fight back. And if you’re in the 12th round and you’re not sure if you’ve got it in you to throw another punch, let me be your coach. Let me prove to you that if I can do it, so can you.
I want you to live free of the misconception that anyone but you is in control of your life. This is my flashlight shining into the black pitch of the caves where you’re sitting, the same cages I used to sit in. This is the rally cry you’ve been waiting for even if you didn’t realize you were waiting for it. My hope is that you’ll be able to use the information I share to help you achieve greatness, whatever that means to you, to achieve your goals, to make something out of nothing even in the direst of circumstances. My website, CharloGreene.com, my videos, my book, my posts are all about starting a fire with ice. Helping you to push through to something big when it feels like you’ve got nothing to use to get yourself there.
The problem with some people is that they feel they lack the necessary tools. They feel lost and alone like they’re stuck or frozen in their circumstances with no way out. No matches. No flint. No sticks to rub together. So, how do you start that fire in your life when you’re surrounded by nothing but ice? The suggestion from the Alaskan girl, use that ice. You’ve got to use the resources you have, and when you find yourself frozen in place, ice can be one of those resources. Ice may sound like the most ridiculous tool for fire building, I mean, it’s literally the opposite of fire, right? It’d be like making a fire out of nothing, which is exactly the point I’m making. When used correctly, it can be done.
A chunk of ice can be rubbed down into a sphere, then held up to the sun, much like a glasses lens or magnifying glass, allowing the sun’s rays to pierce through and concentrate to one specific spot, resulting in fire. That’s one of a million analogies that prove it’s not about where you start, or what resources you have, it’s about your resourcefulness, and your will to keep pushing.
My life has been one series of battles after another, and I know better than anyone how it feels to get kicked in the stomach, stand up, and get kicked again. There are always obstacles, there’s always heart break, and there’s always pain. But there’s triumph, and fulfillment too if you’re willing to trudge forward for it.
So, before we get into the nitty gritty of it all, let me explain my thinking behind this new direction. Telling my story is secondary for me. Sharing this content is a bit of a race against time, this could be my last summer of freedom, my last opportunity to make an impact, and I plan on making the best of it. If you’re familiar with my story, you may remember the, “F it, I quit,” incident. That moment set off a whirlwind of repercussions I’m both proud of, like legalizing cannabis in Alaska, and frightened of, like potentially spending 54 years in prison for the weed I legalized.
My state government has been working to silence me since my viral moment, and if I lose at trial this fall, I could be locked in a cell until I’m 84 years old. But for now, I’ve got the freedom to take my message and stand firmly behind it without fear. Part of doing that is spreading my knowledge and understanding where I can. So let’s get started. Welcome to the fight club.
